
Meet Dr. Ray W. Christner
Psy.D., NCSP, ABPP
Dr. Christner earned his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the California University of Pennsylvania (now called Pennsylvania Western University, California). He stayed there to complete a Master's degree and become certified in School Psychology. After working as a school psychologist for several years, he returned to school, earning his Master's and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (now The PCOM School of Professional and Applied Psychology).
Today, Dr. Christner offers clinical services through his private practice. He is also the founding President of Cognitive Health Solutions, LLC, which now provides business consulting for other mental health practices. He has extensive experience working with children, teens, and adults in different settings, such as schools, clinics, medical settings, and prisons, to name a few. His expertise includes completing psychological/neuropsychological assessments, providing cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), integrating different therapy methods, and diagnosing various mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders.
Dr. Christner is also a well-known author, speaker, and thought leader in the fields of psychology and education. He frequently provides training, provides interviews, and appears in the media. He has written and edited many books, chapters, and articles and has delivered over 180 professional presentations on topics about psychology, psychological/neuropsychological assessment, psychotherapy, mental health, and wellness. He is currently developing a psychological test for Psychological Assessment Resources (PAR) called the Christner Behavior and Adaptability Assessment System (C-BAASTM). Dr. Christner co-hosts the popular podcast Psyched to Practice.
